2018 Brigid (Holohan) Croke

2018 Brigid Holohan Croke2Brigid has been chosen for ‘’The 2018 Cape Cod Saint Patrick’s Pa-
rade Senior Colleen’’.

Brigid is a member of the Irish American Club of Cape Cod since 2002, and has participated in many of their Irish activities.

Brigid was one of six children born to John and Mary Holohan of Gortna-ho, Thurles, County Tipperary. Brigid met Michael Croke and was mar-ried in the Pro Cathedral in Dublin in 1959 After a honeymoon touring Ireland, they moved to the United States and raised five children: Jo-hanna, Michael, John Patrick, Mary and Caroline. They are now the proud grandparents of 16, an even 8 girls, and 8 boys!

Brigid and Michael love Irish music and dancing, so much so that they have a weekend home in Yarmouth so they can go to the Irish Village to dance and meet up with all their friends. Although Brigid is a Pio-neer she loves, all the festivities.

2016 Marie McCormack

Marie has been chosen for the 2016 Cape Cod Saint Patrick's Parade Senior Colleen. Marie has been a member of the Irish American Club since 2003, and has participated in many Irish activities.

Marie was born in Boston, the second of five children, 2 girls and 3 boys. Marie's grandparents came to the United States from Counties Cork and Donegal in Ireland. Marie and her future husband, John, graduated from Saint Ann School in Dorchester, Massachusetts.They met in 1951, married in 1957 and had five children, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Along with raising her family, Marie has worked in the insurance field for many years. Marie serves as a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan at her church.

2015 Catherine Deery

Catherine (Kathleen) has been chosen for "The 2015 Cape Cod Saint Patrick's Parade Senior Colleen."

Catherine has been a member of the Irish American Club of Cape Cod since 2000, serving on the Board of Directors and participating in many of their Irish activities.

Catherine was born in Bushy Park, County Galway, seventh from the top in a family of twelve.Catherine was educated at Scoil Muire and attended University College, Galway studying Language Arts before journeying to the United States in 1957.

Catherine settled in the Boston area working in the medical and banking fields before she met and married Paul Deery in 1959. They raised a family of five, three daughters and two sons. Catherine is the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren. Catherine cherishes spending time with her family and friends. She loves traveling to Ireland and Europe, writing a daily journal and listening and dancing to Irish music. She also enjoys volunteering at a local nursing home and participating in church activities.

2014 Ann Marie (O'Gorman) Tomacelli

Ann has been chosen for The 2014 Cape Cod Saint Patrick's Parade Senior Colleen Ann is a member of the Irish American Club of Cape Cod since 2002, and has participated in many of their Irish activities.

Ann was born in Froe, Rosscarbery, County Cork, and is the youngest of nine children, 2 boys and 7 girls. Ann came to the United States in 1958 from County Cork, Ireland and has worked in the nursing field for several years.

Ann married Daniel Tomacelli of Brighton, MA in 1968 and had two children, Ernest and Marie and is the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, two boys and four girls.
Ann, with her late husband Dan, enjoyed visiting Ireland many times. Ann loves Irish music and dancing as well as spending time with her friends of The Irish American Club. Ann also takes great pleasure in visiting her last surviving sister and over 50 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews in Rosscar-bery, County Cork. A family reunion is planned for this summer in lrleand.
