Itinerary

May 1, 2018
Depart Boston for Dublin, Ireland
on Aer Lingus (overnight)

May 2- Meet your private driver/guide to be transferred to the Grand Hotel in Malahide, 3 nights including B&B, 1 Dinner

Enjoy a full day tour of the city of Dublin. This is one of the most bustling and popular cities to visit in all of Europe. It has so much to offer by way of history, art, culture and fun. See the important historical venues in the battle for Irish Independence. Venture out of the city to visit Newgrange and the Battle of the Boyne Center, ancient sites of Ireland.

May 6-Derry, Northern Ireland, the Beech Hill Country House, 2 nights B&B, 2 Dinners

Beech Hill was a base for the US marines in World War 2. Derry began as a 6th century monastic community founded by Saint Colmcille. It is a walled city built in the early 17th century as a garrison town as part of the Plantation of Ulster. It was in Derry that the "Battle of the Bogside" took place in August 1969 and is known as "The Day the Troubles Began". Here you tour Derry and the Bogside.

May 8 -Sligo, Markree Castle Hotel, 3 nights
B & B

On the way to Markree you will stop at the beautiful Glenviegh National Park in Donegal for a tour of the scenic and historic Glenviegh Castle and Gardens. Markree Castle is a proud member of Manor House Hotels of Ireland. Enjoy Yeats Country while you are in Sligo and tour the Foxford Woolen Mills with a possible stop at the Sligo Heritage and Genealogy Center.

May 11-Depart for Bloomfield House Hotel, Mullingar, 1 night B & B, 1 dinner
Known as the ‘County of the lakes and legends’, Westmeath boasts a ring of breathtaking scenery, rolling hills, unspoiled countryside and wild bogland. It offers remarkable beauty and diversity.
